Resumen
Este artículo, enmarcado en el campo de los estudios traductológicos, muestra algunas estrategias a las que se pueden recurrir para traducir el elemento de la «empatía narrativa», definido por Suzanne Keen, presente en dos casos concretos de la literatura de George Saunders. Analizamos elementos como el idiolecto, la puntuación y la perspectiva narrativa para después presentar ejemplos obtenidos de una traducción elaborada por nosotros, donde se aprecian dichas estrategias. Estas pretenden ser aplicables a otros escritos, que busquen provocar en los lectores una reacción empática.
