Abstract
The population of Jiutepec, mexican municipality is diverse, grouped into multiple operational units, one of them, is of the Santa Cruz mixtec residents in the municipality, which adapts and changes for its own survival. Social change becomes cultural change because of adaptation to the ecological and social environment. Exist elements of the cultural system that settle in its own memory as traditions and customs given their importance for their survival, but they are modified to face variations in the environment. It is analyzed from evolutionary anthropology using the ethnographic method.
